1. How do I get my equipment?

Please contact any of our depots with:

Equipment can be delivered direct to site, or can be collected from one of our three depots in Manchester, Long Crendon and Glasgow (8.30-17.30 Mon-Fri).
Delivery prices depend upon the equipment and location, call our team today to get the best rates.

2. How do I pay?

You can pay 3 ways:

BACS Payment : the funds will need to be cleared prior to the start date of the hire

Apply for an account with us, and receive an invoice

We can set up a new account for your hire (30 days end of month payment subject to terms and conditions). Your first purchase on the account will need to be paid via a proforma invoice. Please contact our depots to set up an account.

4. What are your opening hours?

We are open 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
We also have an out-of-hours emergency team on : help@ggrgroup.com

5. Do you deliver to site?

Yes we deliver to site – we require a full address, postcode, contact name and number for this.

6. Do you deliver to The Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of White, The Isles of Scilly, The Hebrides or Orkney?

Yes we deliver to the islands of the United Kingdom, please contact our depots for availability and transport costs.

7. Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Yes we deliver to Northern Ireland, please contact our depots for availability and transport costs.

8. Do you deliver to Europe?

Yes we can deliver to Europe. The hire charge commences from the first date of transit. Transportation costs will vary depending on location. Please contact us for more information.

9. Can I collect equipment from your depots?

Yes you can collect equipment from our depots between Monday-Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm. Please contact our depots to check availability.

10. Can I hire a crane with an operator?

We have crane operators available to assist in your lift. They are CPCS A66 certified and have the right experience to handle your lift requirements.

Experienced, qualified operators are available for a variety of jobs and environments:

A66 Endorsement A - mini cranes
A66 Endorsement B - Pick & Carry
A66 Endorsement C - Starwork trailer crane
PTS (Personnel Trackside Safety) trained operators for rail jobs
BESC - National Grid (Basic Electrical Safety Confidence) for work in substations
LUL - London Underground work

11. Do you provide training?

GGR Group is a leading provider of CPCS A66 crane training, as well as RTITB certified vacuum lifter training. Courses can be taken at either our northern or southern depots and will provide you with a mix of theory and hands on practical training. For details of course dates please contact our depots.

12. Do you familiarise or train on site?

GGR Group is an official accredited test centre for CPCA A66 mini crane training, therefore we cannot train on site. We can only provide familiarisation in exceptional cases. Please contact us for further details.

13. What is the difference between 'familiarisation' and 'training'?

Familiarisation – is not formal training and does not result in any accreditation.
Training – comes with CPCS A66 accreditation and this card is often requested by UK Contractors.

14. Do you know where I can hire a crane from?

We have a range of mini cranes, pick and carry cranes and other lighting solutions available to hire from any of our depots in Glasgow, Manchester and Long Crendon. We also deliver to site. Please call us today to find out more.

15. Do you know of a dealer to hire one from?

GGR Group has a network of Unic mini crane dealers across Europe. If you are looking to hire or buy a crane in Europe, feel free to contact us and we will send your request onto the network. Alternatively you can visit http://www.unic-cranes.co.uk/dealers for further details on our dealers.

16. Are you open on Saturday?

No we do not open on a Saturday. If you wish to off-hire your equipment for the weekend, you will need to contact the relevant depot on a Friday to off-hire the kit. We will collect the kit on the following Monday. Any equipment left on site, even once off-hired, must be kept secure and safe. Any equipment damaged or stolen that is left on site is the responsibility of the client.

17. Can you service my crane on site?

No, we cannot service the cranes on site. All cranes need to be serviced in our depots.

18. What if my crane breaks down on site?

If you have hired a crane from us and it breaks down on site, please call the depot or email help@ggrgroup.com and we will send out an engineer to fix the crane.

19. What if my hire equipment breaks down on site?

All our hire equipment, with the exception of our mini cranes and pick & carry cranes, will need to be repaired at our depots.
If your equipment breaks down, please contact the depot you hired the equipment from and we will be happy to help.
